SAMEEKSHA
Fatehpur Sikri
The Location
A small town built in India in 1571, by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, for the sole purpose of being his empire’s capitol.
It houses a giant Pachisi game where this exhibit will come to life. Emperor Akbar is rumored to have played with servants instead of game pieces on this very board

Pachisi
The Game
Pachisi is a board game, a game of 25. It was played on a cloth ‘board’ with either cowries shells or dice. A player’s pieces moves around the board in correspondence to the dice or the cowrie shells
